This uniquely expressive, well-defined musical talent enables Stafford to dance in and around the rich trumpet tradition of his predecessors while making his own inroads.

Stafford’s recent album, This Side of Strayhorn (MAXJAZZ), was heralded by critics as one of the best albums of 2011. For his Bistro run, Stafford will be joined by his dynamic quintet featuring saxophonist Tim Warfield, pianist Bruce Barth, bassist Peter Washington, and drummer Dana Hall.
