In a one-of-a-kind grouping, three of the hottest young artists on the scene will take to the Bistro stage. Alto saxophonist Tia Fuller is a veteran of the bands of Beyonce and Esperanza Spalding’s Radio Music Society, not to mention three albums under her own name. Trumpeter Sean Jones has been heard regularly on the Jazz at the Bistro stage since stepping down from his lead trumpet position in the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and working heavily with his Quartet and Quintet. Vibraphonist Warren Wolf is following in the footsteps of vibes masters Bobby Hutcherson and Stefon Harris, taking over their spot in the SFJazz Collective, while also working with artists like Christian McBride. Fuller, Jones, and Wolf will perform together following a week of educational activities with St. Louis area schools as part of Jazz St. Louis’s Artist Residency program.
