Flat Alto

I have a alto sax it is a selmer and it is realy flat i have taken it to the local repair shop and they did not find any thing wrong PLZ help should i buy a new one?

    are you a new player? what kind of selmer? what is the playing codition of the horn? how do you know it's the horn? read other threads about tuning.

      not really i have been playing for 6 years don't know good i don't but i use a plastic legere reed do you think that could be it?

        is this a new problem? reed can make a difference, but not just the plastic, any reed or all play a little different.

          File this under "too obvious" but, can you push the mouthpiece further onto the neck? Also, some mouthpieces affect the intonation... has there been a change?

          i have tried that but on the flip side i got new reeds and a new mouth piece and it sound great so thx 2 all who tried 2 help love yall
