conn shootung star alto sax

Hi,I just bought a conn shooting star alto sax at an estate sale..Serial #N105967..Is this one of the better ones produced or one of the not so good models...Est. of value please.. I paid 100.00 for it...Thanks for any help someone might have..Thanks,admiralkirke

    This is what they call a Mexi-Conn, I believe. I heard some were pretty good and some not so good. Guess they moved manufacturing to Mexico in the 1970's maybe. But if it works for you, you sure got a bargain! You can research Conn serial numbers in these postings as well as at saxpics.com. Value is quite dependent on condition. Good Luck.

      N Prefix is 1970. Donnie is right. Some of these horns are good, and some not so good. My daughter's from the same year is a fine horn. Big sound, plays in tune.
