Metal Mouthpiece

Has anybody tried selmer's classical metal mouthpiece? I'd like to know how it compares to the regular classical rubber mouthpieces. Also, is that mouthpiece what Fred Hemke uses? And if anybody has any information as to what Marcel Mule or Daniel Deffayet used, it would be great to know. Thanks!

    Re: Metal Mouthpiece

Marcel Mule did use a Selmer metal C* as did many classical players of that era ,,,however the sound that these pieces produce is a little dated ,,actually a trifle old fashioned ,,,,as for Hemke his metal is a Selmer true,,,,, but it has a square chamber as in the S80 chamber not round as in a Larry Teal ,,,but if you are looking for something different i suggest you give a Vandoren A17 a try ,,,,,DeLangle does wonders with it
