      Instead of looking it up - I'll quote my memory. Pierret was a small boutique type of manufacturer in France. I think they quit making saxes in the early 1970's, maybe even late 1960's. They never made a lot of horns, but what they made were pretty good. I always think of Dolnet when this brand is mentioned. Seems kind of similar to me. I would guess the Competition was their top of the line. And as far as pro-line or not they would not have been cheap saxes, but I know of no pros that played one. So technically - do you think it was a pro line?
