've played bari for a year now, 1 year of alto b4 that, and i get to play a solo at my catholic stepmoms wedding in a month. i was wondering what pieces of music would be easy to learn and sound good as a bari solo(even if its meant for alto) in a wedding, thx.
I've got an arrangement and piano accompaniment CD I made for Faure's "Apres Un Reve". I'll send you an email with the details. Perfect for a wedding gig. A little more appropriate than "Peter Gunn". Unless you're Quentin Tarantino.
Might want to consider the Bach cello suites. There are some good arrangements and I've heard them played very well on bari. You can pick and choose whatever movements you want from any of the suites. And the real kicker is you don't need an accompanist.
