Saxophone Lacquer?

I was recently trying to decide on a step up model for an alto saxophone and I decided on the Selmer La Voix II. I was wondering if the different lacquers would produce different tones, specifically the black and silver plated.

    I agree with Cuber. I used to be way into Nickel plating, and I've been recently going back to regular laquer. If there is a difference, I think it's negligible, except that the Nickel is MUCH heavier. I also got made fun of a lot for having Nickel saxophones, which is partially the reason I switched over :).
