vintage Conn, worth anything other than sentiment?
A friend showed me her grandfather's alto sax. The details: Conn, silver, alto sax, with the inscription 'Pat. Pending, Dec. 8, 1914, 1119954, 115622, L. It's still in the hard case and looks to be in great condition. I doubted it was worth much other than the fact that it has great sentimental value as it was her grandfather's. I found another sax of similar serial numbers on this site (but not exactly the same numbers). Does anyone know anything about this sax? I'm sure she'd love to know the origins. Thanks!
