My dads sax

My dad (now playing upstairs ), was a frequent player at Ronnie Scotts in London. He brushed shoulders regulary with a guy called Pete King, Benny Green, Ronnie Scott and loads of other true jazzers. He left me a selmer cutter/sax serial number 17001 I was informed that the great Zoot Sims had 17000. The sax doesnt get played anymore which is a shame...It was relaquered, in 1985 and dad died in 1987, .The sax needs some new corks, a couple of springs and needs to be played. Its in really good condition....i dont like to ask, but what is it worth for insurance purposes? or may consider selling as it is such a waste .
