I have recently inherited a saxophone. I came across this site and tried to identify and price my saxophone but could not find any info. I was wondering if you all could help me identify my saxophone. It seems to be fairly old and in very good condition. The box it comes in is also in good condition. All parts seem to be in the box. The head of the sax is engraved with french writings which reads the following, "Dulois & Fortis (in an emblem with another horn) / Hors concours PARIS 1878-1889-1900 / Qtl Extra Jerome / Thibouville - Lamy / Four Du Conservatoir national / de Musique de Paris / Et de L'armee / Brevete / s.g.d.g / 68 rue reamur Paris AA." The instrument is either silver or nickle plated. Please let me know. I can email pictures if someone is interested.
