Concertone C-Melody - What is it?

Who made the Concertone? I have a silver Concertone with gold wash C-Melody probably from before 1930. It has the low B flat key below two adjacent keys C# and B (under the G# key) like a Martin. The low B keyguard in right on the bell seam. C SN P19279 L What is this thing?
