Kohlert alto

Are there any Kohlert fans out there? I picked up a nickel plated alto in good condition recently and would like to know a bit more about its pedigree. It has no decoration on it and no sign of a serial number but has been rather crudely stamped "V Kohlert Sons, Graclice, Bohemia, modell 1927" below the rim of the bell so not much marketing effort going on there. I wonder if this horn was made for some military or official use. It looks to be a well made instrument and sounded good enough when I got it - although it was a bit wheezy and is away having some leaks fixed and the action regulated. This horn is not a clapper and has both bell keys on the l.h.s. from the player's point of view. Any information would be interesting to have.
