What recording equipment

I have watched a few Youtube videos and have noticed that recording equipment is used. Do you guys know what and which equipment can be used to make Youtube recordings?

    You can get a basic you tube recording with almost any video recording device, even the video camera on an iphone works ok.  Zoom makes a easy to use HD video recorder called the HD Q3.  It is extremely easy to use and comes with some self explanatory software which is capable of posting directly to you tube.

      Thanks for the reply. You know what microphones they use also? I see ones which they attach and ones on a mic stand.
