Conn Alto Saxophone?

Hi - I have a Conn Alto Saxophone, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify it and maybe tell me about it?

The details stamped on it are below:

PATD DEC 8 1914,
1119954
PAT.APP'D FOR
 A
M265857A

It's silver in colour, with what looks like pearl buttons. There are flowery engravings on the horn.

Thanks!

    Re: Conn Alto Saxophone?

This is a transitional era (early 6M) alto sax. They can be great players........very sweet voice but with plenty of power. If you're thinking of getting it restored, this would be a great candidate. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

      Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for your reply!

It is in great condition - I know from the previous owner that the pads have been replaced, other then that I have no idea whether it is original or restored. I use it myself and it sounds beautiful - much nicer then my original Yamaha.

Would you know what year it is?

      Thank you again :)
