Vote for George Coleman, our next NEA Jazz Master!

George Coleman has been a key figure in modern jazz since the 50's, a front man in historic jazz formations led by Max Roach, Slide Hampton, Miles Davis, Elvin Jones, Cedar Walton, Ahmad Jamal...
I really believe that a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Award for George Coleman is long overdue. Stand up for him while he is still with us. Sign this petition:

Read what other musicians have to say about him.
Say something about him here, if you have a connection.

The great George Coleman is the most underated and best tenor player in jazz. He deserves all the honors we can pile on him. He also is humble and generous to anyone who has the pleasure of working  with him.....:-)
