elkhart sax

i have a elkhart saxaphone  that says the elkhart band-inst-co it has a number on it that says 56688 with a lp under that it also has ingraved a picture of a sailboat on top of an ingraved elk i was wundering if anyone can help me learn more about this like when it was made and what its worth

         There is no reliable serial number list for the Elkhart Band Instrument Co. The serial number list for Buescher is on the saxophone.org web site in the saxophone museum section as well as on several other web sites. But this has no bearing on serial numbers from the Elkhart Band Instrument Co.
