Evette Shaeffer Master Model Tenor serial 7015

I have had this tenor for about 50 years and dicided to play again now that I'm retired.

(Old Love). The serial number from your chart suggests it's from 1887! Is this right?

the "Master Model" engraving is in the same place as the "Super Dynaction" and looks very much like the SD with the black BC bell support. It's a heavy horn and seen a lot of action.

Thanks for your post. This can be confusing. Your saxophone does not date to 1887. Buffet recycled the Evette Shaeffer name in the 50's and 60's and used it on the Master Model saxophones. Its essentially a slightly paied down version of the Super Dynaction. Your sax is a very good instrument. Most of them that I've played in the past had a very sweet sound with very accurate intonation. ENJOY!!

      Thanks, Mark.

I appreciate knowing about The Evette's history. I wish I still had the Buescher my mom bought for me from John Handy.
