C.G. Cobb Naked Lady Serial Number 80280

Hi i inherited this early C.G. Conn saxophone with a naked lady on it.

Was hoping someone could give me a value in its current condition.

How much to restore it?

Is it worth restoration?

Very nice horn. Looks to be a somewhat rare gold plated artist model. Prior to the 6m naked lady.   Its 22K gold plated.

I myself would do a top end refurbishing in my shop in the 650 to 750 range. The polishing and making like new is the main issue. Would play as good as new. I've done maybe 500 of this type of job during my tenure at the repair table over the past 20 years.

Mine is an upper end job. You can have a "pad slap"job done in the 350 to 500 range, but you would not be happy with it. This would be from a local repair shop not a tue experienced refurbishing.

Find a guy locally that is good.
    Good Luck

Value refurbished is in the 2000 range or more. Look around at the horns in saxquest inventory.
