Transposing

I've got a piece of music in the key of C, and I need it in the key of Eb. I know nothing about transposing. Help me?

    Re: Transposing

add 3 #'s in the key signature...and then take every note down three half steps. i've had to do this alot playing at various events...and can now do it in real time on the spot while playing. its a skill you'll acquire ith practice. hope that helped. -nick

Just go down a minor third in every note of the song. For example if you have a C on the concert key sheet, for you it would be an A, if you have a G it would be a E ect. Remember also transpose the key of the song. Hope I helped.

That helped a little, but I'm horrible with theory stuff. I'll try it myself, but I'll end up asking the band teacher monday. Thanks anyways.
