Alto vs Tenor

My son is 11 and starting his 2nd year of school band.  He currently plays alto but is wanting to switch to tenor. Any advice?

    If your son is doing well on the alto and is really into music (and if you can afford a tenor) it might be a good move. I, for one, play alto and tenor and enjoy them both!

    I play alto but love the sound of a tenor you could hire a tenor sax and see how he gets on with it used to say get a yamaha but yamaha is bad news atm they seem to have lost there control at the factory

    hire  one for a few $$ and see how he goes

    Try and get a selmer Paris  c* mouthpice  there are expensive but worth it will help him lots
