Ibert's Concertino De Camera

I am an English music student and for my dissertation I am going to compare John Harle's recording of Ibert's Concertino De Camera with Eugene Rousseau's version. Unfortunately my knowledge of saxophone works is rather limited and I was wondering whether anybody had any information that could help me. I am looking for information about the piece itself (that is, why and when it was written and what were its main influences) and information regarding the two performers, and their interpretations. If anybody has any information about any of the above I would be very grateful. Thank you.

    Re: Ibert's Concertino De Camera

As I understand it. Ibert Wrote the piece for Sigurd Rascher. It was premeired in 1935. The piece ended up being so popular that Ibert added a second and third movement. Without reviewing the subject further thats all I can remember.
