Can anyone give me the run down on LA Sax? Are they any good?

LA Sax makes a decent intermediate sax. I certainly wouldn't say they are pro quality, although many have pro features. They're famous for their lacquer, often colorful and elaborate finishes. Many of their designs are based on older Conn and Selmer models. The early models were comparable to the Bundy horns, and didn't earn the company the best reputation, but their newer models are nice for a modest price. I'd buy one.

Thanks, that is what I figured based on the price. Since I have your attention and you are a Conn guy, do you have any idea where I could get an upper crook and neck receiver for a 50's Conn Bari? I'm not sure this thing is even worth repairing, but I figured I could teach myself about repair on it. Another E-bay gone bad deal!

I'll see what I can find about your upper crook and neck receiver.
