Squeaking with metal mouthpiece

I play a dukoff D9 MP with rico plasticover reeds and the stock lig. My sound is really great, but every so often I get a squeak, esplecially in the higher notes. I think this may be because of my cruddy lig, but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

    Re: Squeaking with metal mouthpiece

It may be the mpc. Lots of Dukoffs arent really in spec where they should be, and parts like the table and rails could be uneven. For instance, I have seen a D6 that was way more open than the D8 I have. Send the mouthpiece to a refacer, and have them bluepribt it for you(ie put it in spec where it should be). That should clear up your problem
