90 year old horn with factory error. Final Inspection Breakdown

I am working on an 100XXX Conn C Melody with all original factory white pads.

A clean prestine horn that had one owner and had never been at a shop.

It is simply missing the High F Key guide and there is no sign that one was ever soldered on.Any other stories from experiienced Techs of horns simply missing parts that were never put on the horn in the first place?

Since Conn was so big at this time in history, it reminded me of the downfall of GM in the 1970s.

Matt Stohrer did a Repairman's Overview video on a NW1 tenor and wasn't impressed with the build quality either.  The factory fudged their way through all sorts of alignment problems, including prying apart key guides.
