Details on an old sax

I have a "Predominant" alto sax, serial number 11165. On the bell, it says "sold by Boosey & Hawkes - London" and just below the serial number on the back side, it is labelled "made in France". I've found no info on this horn anywhere on the internet...can someone tell me anything about its history? It is silver plated, not a LP horn, and modeled like today's saxes with the bell keys on the front side of the bell. The key guards are soldered to the body and are distinctively engraved.
