Conn USA shooting star alto saxophone

Need help finding information about this saxophone, it says conn USA and has the shooting star stamp the only other thing stamped on it is four numbers under the thumb rest at the back of the saxophone and those numbers are 9691, does anyone know anything about this saxophone? Thank you

    It might be an early Conn 50M, which is a virtually identical to a Vito (Kenosha) Model 37 other than the engraving.  If you want something more sure than that, post some pictures.
