I need musicians!!!!!

I am a student at El Modena High in So. Cal., and I was wondering if anybody here can tell me where I can contact, directly or indirectly, either pro mucians, or Small ensemble groups(Ex: quartets) in the So. Cal. area????? The reason, if you're asking why, is that the highschool band has only been able to pay for things that it needs by nickel diming everything( Like candy bar fundraisers). We have still to make around 4 payments of $13,000 a year for a huge instrument purchase. Oh yes, the idea was that If they are willing to help, and i can convince my teacher, we may set up a small concert so to speak, with those willing to help performing some of their pieces. If my band was able to charge a ticket fee and we advertised in the right places(Music stores, paper) It would be possible to make a decent amount of change to go towaqrds the payments
