Quick reed question.

What strength/brand of reed would work well with a 6* Otto Link New York metal mouthpiece for Tenor sax? Thanks.

    I'd recommend a # 2 or a 2 1/2. Start with a # 2 probably.

How about a hard rubber Meyer 7 with a medium chamber?

          Probably a # 1 1/2 or a 2, depending on how developed your embouchre is. With a # 7 or higher facing, you're going to want to use a softer reed. Here's a general reference; Moutpiece Reed Hardness Closed facing, #3, Selmer C* # 3 ½ or 4 # 4 or C** facing # 3 or 3 1/2 #5 facing or equivalent # 2 ½ or 3 #6 facing or equivalent # 2 or 2 1/2 Open facing, #7 or higher # 1 ½ or 2

That didn't exactly post the way I had intended but I hope you can make sense of it!
