Alto or Tenor ???

38 yrs old learning how to read music & play the sax. Have decided to stop renting and purchase. have practised on Alto but have a couple of friends say to purchase Tenor. Have a Cannonball Stone Series tenor ready for pick up on wedensday, Looking for a Sax that I will be happy with for years to come, am I making the right decision? (By the way I really wish I would have done this Sax thing ALONG time ago).

    I think you will probably enjoy tenor more. Bb is better than Eb when it comes to rocking out, or playing blues. The Cannonball would not be my first choice, but they've gotten a lot better in recent years. I think the Yamaha is a much better horn for a comparable price. The horn you buy should be the one that sounds best to you and best fits with your style of playing.
