Chu Berry serial number

I have a Conn Chu berry Alto sax. serial # A M218941 L What vintage is this sax? How can I tell if its silver or nickel finish?

    That's a 1928 vintage www.drrick.com/conn.html The silver finish was the most popular. It's a matte finish with a goldwash bell. The nickel horns are shiney, not matte like the silver. The most common nickel plated horns are gold nickel

      thks...The finish on my horn is definetly "shiney:...So I assume its nickel.
