Selmer E soloist piece..

i just bought one for my alto.. but the few reeds i tried it with seemd to be perfect.. now i get a slight air sound.. should i just get a softer reed? cuz i love the piece when the reed is right.. but the majority of my reeds in my box suck.. also does anyone have this mouthpiece of have experience with it? im using it for lead alto in a big band jazz.. havnt gotten to play it with the group yet but i like it on my own..
