need info on my sax

hi guys am new learner on alto sax and have old sax is marked hessey's of liverpool artists model and has pierret a paris in oval a bove with an L P underneath that. its serial number is 697 . would be great if i could get some feed back thanks.

    Sounds like it could possibly be a Couesnon stencil. Is it silver?

      yes it is silver, have been told it may have been made around early thirties? wondered if it had a good sound as am not familiar with any other saxophones.

        That almost completely depends on the player and their experience. Many vintage saxes are great sounding horns though, so don't doubt that yours is too.

          I would say that you are probably correct; mid-20's to min 30's I would guess. Couesnon was one of the earliest companies to make a saxophone, and they were good horns.
