Matching serial #

Hi everyone I have a selmer tenor # 59xxx, silverplated. I can understand that many MK VI necks have matching serial# on the neck - mine havn´t. Can anyone tell me if this neck is original or not. I live in Denmark and I have heard that 1955 Selmer tenors can obtain pretty high value in the USA.... any cmments on that?. I am thinking about selling it. -Peter

    Re: Matching serial #

Simple answer is your mk6 is designed for the european market and ,if it is engraved it will have european fleur de whatever engravings , US market horns were engraved differently and they stamped the neck so it didn,t get mixed up as they were assembled in Elkhart USA. mk6 Horns fetch good money anywhere Dave
