Padded Case Covers

Hey everyone, I am thinking about buying a case cover for my (old) Keilwerth alto. The case cover is a Yanagisawa one and is slightly padded and also has a fair amount of storage space that the case itself lacks. It has rubber feet and quite a lot of protection. The case itself i have done up, and it is reinforced and provides great protection for the awesome sax. I was planning on getting a case cover because when I tour with a band, my sax has to go in a trailer. In the trailer the exterior of the case gets scratched and damaged. Does anyone out there own a case cover? Cheers,

    Re: Padded Case Covers

I used to keep my alto in a Walt Johnson case with a Cavallero case cover. The case cover was very nice with it's soft padding and extra storage space - which is almost non-existent in a WJ case if you are a gearhead like me. The Cavallero shell is nylon fabric that is fairly durable but does not add any structural integrity to the case nor protect the items in the storage compartment very well.
