Conn USA saxophone with shooting stars and sn 9947

I recently purchased this saxophone for my son and was trying to identify the model. I have seen list of serial numbers that would suggest this is a wonder model from early 1900s but that seems incorrect because this model has been lacquered which might be aftermarker and has pearl keys which indicates something other than old Wonder model. No other numbers or letters are visible around 9947 serial number. Tone holes are straight, not rolled.
