BERG LARSEN Hard Rubber Slant Signature - 85/4 Back to model

This is an incredibly rare, one of a kind Berg Larsen tenor mouthpiece.  It is the only over 4 Berg we have ever seen, which leads us to believe that it is either a prototype, or was a special order mouthpiece made for someone who wanted something really dark.  

The mouthpiece has a very dark rich sound, and plays very well.  It has that rich core that you would expect from a vintage Slant Sig Berg, but it is so dark that the overall sound is incredibly unique.  The mouthpiece measures out right at 85 as well.

Other than some small wear from a past ligature, the mouthpiece is in fantastic shape.  It is a very cool mouthpiece, and we are glad to have it featured up on Saxophone.org.
