This is a rare Brilhart alto sax mouthpiece. It is a very early vintage with "Designed by Arnold Brilhart" stamped on the top. It has the Great Neck, NY stamp on the shank, and serial number on the side, 1414. It remarkably still has nearly all of the original gold lettering still intact. It is stamped 2* on the table, yet it plays more open.
The biteplate is perfect, as are the table, rails and tip. The physical condition rates as excellent. There are 2 interior hairline cracks that cannot be felt on either side to the touch. These are very common on these pieces and have NO effect on playability.
