SELMER Silver Super Balanced Action (Serial Number: 36969) Back to model

This is a beautiful near mint condition Selmer Super Balanced Action soprano in silver, serial number 36969. It was overhauled and polished in the Saxquest shop by Ben Reece in 2015 and was playing up a storm at the time these photos were taken.

The body is in great physical condition and does not have any major repair history. The marching lyre mount was re-soldered at some point in the past. These vintage SBA sopranos feature the same palm key cluster construction as the Super models. This design carried through until the Super Action 80 soprano became available. This one has a particularly nice free blowing response and is comparatively more spread then the Mark VI.
