BUESCHER Aristocrat Series I - Silver (Serial Number: 288238) Back to model

This is a near mint condition original silver early Buescher Aristocrat alto saxophone, serial number 288238. It has 99% of its original silver plate still intact. The only plating wear on this horn is on the neck. It has about 30% of its original silver plate remaining. The neck is in excellent physical condition, and appears to have had some flawless professional repair. The body of this alto has a matte silver finish and the keys and engraving are gloss silver. The engraving is a classic art deco style.

The pads are in very good condition with metal resonators. They have a lot of life left in them, and have the original Buescher snap in resonators. The set up was professionally done and has rather light, yet fast action. All of the corks and felts are in great shape.  This alto is physically excellent. There are NO dents and only 1 resoldered joint (1 foot of the low Eb keyguard). The bottom bow is excellent with only 3 very slight surface dings.

This Aristocrat has a very big sound that captures the era perfectly. It has a very warm tone and excellent balance and intonation. Projection is certainly not a problem with this alto.
