This is a totally original vintage Buescher Aristocrat "Big B" alto saxophone, serial number 295790. This alto is simply in stunning condition.

The original lacquer on this horn is as near MINT original as it gets. There isn't even any wear around the engraving, as is so often seen on these horns. There are no dents and no resoldered joints and no past damage repairs. The original "01" neck has never been damaged, and the sax is still in its original case, also in near perfect condition.

The sax still has the original pads, with the snap-in metal resonators, and the original amber rollers and gold plated Norton springs as well. Nothing has been replaced. The horn was adjusted in 2007 at Saxquest by Mark Overton and was playing well on the 70+ year old pads.

There is nothing like a vintage Buescher in full song. It has a sweet warm sound, plays easily and comfortably with little resistance, and is extremely resonant. A beautiful lush tone that not many horns can equal.
