Here's a wonderful example of an artist model gold plate Martin Handcraft c-melody saxophone. This instrument and the photos were graciously contributed by Randy Cole.
You'll be hard pressed to find a more finely engraved saxophone. This instrument is particularly interesting because it is also engraved with the name of the engraver, HJ Montag, and the plater, Jack DeVille. This is a true museum quality instrument with almost no wear to the originnal gold plate and no past damage repairs. The early Martin handcraft saxophones are well known for having tremendous warmth and depth of sound.
