Fine jazz musician and outstanding teacher. I have been taking lessons with her for over a year and she work hard to understand you musical goals then puts together a plan to help you achieve your objectives. Ever patient, but firm Sonya has a broad range of experience she taps into to customize a lesson plan that maps to your priorities.


While I have miles to go in my musical journey I feel like I have made more progress with Sonya in the last year than in the last 5 years combined. She takes in students of all levels from rudimentary to jazz workshops.
