You're looking at a Conn New Wonder alto saxophone made in 1928. Conn put a heavy layer of silver platting on these horns before sand blasting to create the unique velvet hue. The front of the bell is richly engraved with Conn's standard emblem of the era. These engravings were protected with a clear coat at the factory; 84 years later and it still looks fresh. These "Chu Berry" horns are fairly easy to spot with their cross hatched G sharp key, microtuner neck, and gold wash bell.
