Two great horns with pictures available upon request.
The Buescher Baritone is a late 1920s true tone with beautiful engraving on the front of the bell. Plays great, although the owner prior to me had a custom setup so that the right hand sits higher than usual. Very warm sound - think Mulliganesque. Comes with hardshell case. (purchased from Marsh WWs in Raleigh NC in 2010)
The Modele 26 is an original lacquer horn (to my knowledge!) from the late 1920s (serial 88xx) and she is a helluva player! Could use a new set of pads in the near future and a leveling on the lower stack to perfect its playing, but is a great horn overall with a Reunion Blues gig back. Great altissimo register, and she FLIES. The action is very similar to an SBA. The neck has been soldered professionally. |
| Trade Preferences: |
I would prefer to trade the two horns for a Mauriat, Keilwerth, or Selmer Paris Alto or Tenor. Preferably a modern Selmer such as a Series II, Series III, or Reference. Alto is preferred in playing condition as I am in need and I would prefer to deal locally, but am open to shipping the horns if necessary. I am willing to sell the horns separately, but am more apt to a good trade. |
