To fix an bell brace without a screw

Hi again, As I may have mentioned, that YTS-21 I have doesn't have a bell brace screw and it doesn't look like I'll be able to readily find one. Yamaha's woodwind parts division doesn't carry them anymore and I haven't been able to find any parts. I am tempted to solder the bell brace in place and attach merely the head of an appropriate looking screw in place for asthetics. Would you call this a proper repair proceedure if this horn was to be resold (with full disclosure, of course)

Dont solder it just find a 4mm(i think) screw or bolt and cut to length, this will do until you can get the correct one Dave

Yep, 4mm. I found a few 4mm machine screws of different lengths, bought them for less than two dollars (considering they were in packets at their various lengths) and they work fine. Thanks :)
