New Member Introduction

Hey Y'all, I just found this site in June & it was very helpful during our search for a used student tenor sax. Now that my son has switched to tenor (USA-made Conn), he is teaching me to play our Yamaha alto sax.

Thank you! I actually like the sound of a tenor sax better, but my fingers are barely long enough to play the alto. It will be fun to play harmonies together with my son on tenor once I learn more than 5 notes. ;-)

Eh, everyone is different I guess :P I like tenor too. Lenny Pickett is a great player (tenor sax player of the Saturday Night Live band) he hits high notes so crazy and makes me want to play tenor. I hope to gather the money for a tenor eventually.=) but for now I'm stuck with alto haha.

Hi, I'm new and can't believe how valuable all this sax info is from all of you out there. All this advice is priceless. I've already saved bread by reading the treasure trove of subjects from reeds to ligs to mouthpieces, resonators (plastic or metal). Thanks
