F.E. Olds and Son Alto Sax

My husband and I bought a Sax in Wash. State and brought it back home to Arkansas. We bought it for our grandson for his first year of band. It is a F.E. Olds and Son Alto Sax. The serial number is 38561. We know absolutely nothin about it. The music shop we took it to here at home said the pads had just been recently replaced and that whoever had it had taken excellent care of it. Would someone be kind enough to let us know something about this instrument? Thank you, Mary

    I have an Olds Alto sax that was made back in the 50's or thereabouts. It's a good beginner's horn and if it's well maintained you've got a solid instrument.
