corrosion

I recently got an old Mark VI with basically no lacquer. Plays great!..., but I notice a few small spots of green corrosion. Nothing major, but I'd like to stop it if I can. Suggestions....? Thanx...

    Re: corrosion

Pitfalls of having an unlacquered horn...air oxidizes the bare brass...turns green. I think this is called Patina if the brass is an antique statue :) The best thing you can do is attempt to keep it dry and clean so acids from your skin won't help tarnish the horn. Matt
