    yeah. they are in different keys but the fingering is very similar. I too started on clarinet and switched to both sax and double reeds and it took about a week to get good facility on sax.

    that's the opposite of what i wanna do! i play the sax, and i wanna try clarinet sometime soon.

      i know this is not on the topic, but it's similar. i finally got to start playing the clarinet. it's not so hard to get a sound out b/c it requires less air, but you have to get your mouth on it right.

        Hehe, anyone can make a sound on a clarinet. It's making it sound good that matters.

        Three words: Play Tenor Sax Why? Because they are both tuned to Bb
